Welcome to the 2027 Egypt Solar Eclipse Retreat!
“Imagine standing beneath a sky that is slowly dimming, the sun and moon drawing toward one another in a celestial embrace. The air around you begins to shimmer—alive, electric, expectant. Conversations soften to whispers. The world holds its breath.
As the shadow moves across the land, you feel your own inner landscape stirring. A deep knowing awakens in your chest, as if ancient parts of you—long asleep—are rising to meet this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
And then… totality.
A ring of fire ignites the heavens, illuminating not just the sky, but the hidden places within your soul.
You feel the collective heartbeat of the group beside you, the pulse of the Earth beneath you, and the unmistakable truth that you were meant to be here for this.
This retreat opens a doorway—into your intuition, your essence, your remembrance.
This is the eclipse that changes you.”

DAILY ITINERARY
Friday July 30 - Day 1: Arrivals
As you arrive in Cairo, the hum of ancient currents greets you. The golden horizon glows with promise as you travel to the Steigenberger Pyramids Hotel, your sanctuary of rest and renewal. Each breath draws you closer to the pulse of Kemet — the living soul of Egypt.
The afternoon invites stillness and gentle grounding. Feel your body begin to slow after travel; sense the desert’s timeless rhythm inviting you inward. In the evening, we gather for a group welcome dinner at 6 PM, a ceremonial feast of connection and intention. Here, beneath the soft Egyptian dusk, we open our circle — sharing names, breath, and the heartbeat of why we have come.
Saturday, July 31st - Day 2: Sunrise Ceremony between the Paws of the Sphinx
Before sunrise, we journey to the Sphinx, that eternal guardian of memory and mystery. As the first rays crown the desert, we begin our Sunrise Activation Ceremony, breathing life into remembrance. Passages from The Awakening of Osiris echo through the cool air — ancient words calling your spirit into presence.
One by one, each person steps forward to receive sound healing and personal initiation at the Steele, awakening the sacred breath within. The vibration of voice and tone reattunes your body to the frequency of life itself — the Ankh made living once more. After the ceremony, you’ll enjoy a short camel ride across the sands, the desert’s vast stillness holding you in reverence.
We return to the hotel for breakfast and rest before traveling onward to Saqqara and the Serapeum — where the first pyramid whispers its truths. Here, we visit newly unearthed tombs and receive teachings on rebirth and continuity. A traditional lunch awaits at a local traditional restaurant, a gesture of nourishment and cultural exchange.
Evening brings us back to the hotel for quiet integration. We’ll gather for a sharing circle, weaving sound, reflection, and gentle breath to ground the day’s activations. Dinner tonight is open for personal exploration or quiet rest.
Sunday August 1st - Day 3: The Grand Egyptian Museum & Begin your Nile Journey
After breakfast, we spend the morning at the Grand Egyptian Museum, walking through the corridors of civilization’s soul. Each statue and relic reflects something within you — your ancient wisdom taking form in stone and gold.
We’ll share lunch at the historic Mena House, gazing upon the Great Pyramid as we dine. The afternoon invites transition — a flight to Luxor, the heart of Upper Egypt. The air here feels softer, ancient, feminine — the Nile flowing like the breath of the goddess herself.
Upon arrival, we board our elegant Dahabeya, the traditional Nile sailing vessel that will cradle us in the coming days. A simple dinner awaits as the boat sways gently, lanterns shimmering across the water. Night descends with the hum of the river — and the soft awareness that something within you has begun to awaken.
Monday August 2nd - Day 4: Solar Eclipse on the Nile – The Ceremony of Rebirth
Morning light shimmers on the Nile as you awaken aboard the Dahabeya. The air is still, as if the Earth itself is preparing for ceremony. After breakfast, we sail into stillness, docking along the private banks of the river. Here, the solar eclipse becomes a sacred teacher—a mirror of our own descent and reemergence.
We step ashore to build a simple altar of elements: earth from the riverbank, a vessel of water, candles for fire, and the breath we share as air. As the shadow begins to move across the sun, we enter silence with hearts open. We become the sacred bridge of heaven and Earth.
During totality, we rest in stillness—the heartbeat of creation pauses, and we receive the codes of renewal. As light returns, we breathe together again, whispering new vows of purpose and illumination. Evening invites gentle integration—perhaps a quiet walk through the Luxor Market, where colors and scents remind us of life’s beauty returning.
Tuesday, August 3rd - Day 5: The Temples of Light – Luxor and Karnak
After breakfast on the Dahabeya, the day opens with reverence as we visit the Luxor and Karnak Temples. These ancient sanctuaries echo with millennia of devotion. We move through them slowly, each column and hieroglyph reflecting the structure of our own inner temple.
In a moment of grace, we are granted quiet time with the great Sekhmet Statue— which is very much alive! We stand before the sacred feminine presence that has guided humanity since the dawn of light. Here, we practice a breath of gratitude—inhale remembrance, exhale devotion.
After lunch, we travel by bus to Abydos, the temple of resurrection, where we check into the House of Life. The evening unfolds in quiet reflection, journal in hand, the air rich with incense and stillness.
Wednesday, Aug 4th- Day 6: Bridging Earth and Stars - Osirion
At sunrise, we enter the Osirion for a private visit—a ceremony of remembrance and awakening. Water flows beneath ancient stone, mirroring the currents within us. Here, the breath becomes prayer, echoing in the temple’s acoustics.
After, we continue to the Abydos Temple, tracing the stories of life, death, and renewal carved in stone. Then to Dendera, where celestial alignments awaken our cosmic memory. Beneath the temple’s zodiac ceiling, we meditate on our personal constellations—how each soul carries a fragment of the stars.
By mid-afternoon, we return to the Dahabeya, sharing dinner under a vast expanse of night sky. The stars shimmer like the reflections of our newly illuminated hearts.
Thursday, Aug 5th - Day 7: Valley Dawn & Heart Congruence
Before sunrise, we journey to Hatshepsut’s Temple, where morning gold touches the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Here, we honor the lineage of the awakened feminine—those who have led through heart, intuition, and truth.
Later, in the Valley of the Baboons, we enter the Tomb of Priest Ay for a private ceremony of healing and renewal. The air is ancient and cool, filled with unseen presence. Through guided ritual and heart-breath meditation, you shed what no longer serves, offering it to the Earth in gratitude.
After lunch, the day flows gently back to the Dahabeya for an evening of sharing, music, and reflection. The boat glides toward Esna Locks, and we dine beneath a sky alive with stars, feeling the pulse of transformation within.
Friday, Aug 6th- Day 8: Temple of the Falcon – Rising into Vision
Morning brings a visit to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to higher vision and clarity of purpose. Through meditation and movement, we awaken our inner sight—the ability to see truth beyond illusion.
Lunch is served on board as the Dahabeya sails toward Kom Ombo. The late afternoon opens for a group teaching and integration circle, inviting gentle reflection on how your inner light now seeks expression in the world. Dinner follows, accompanied by laughter, community, and the rhythm of the river.
Saturday, Aug 7th - Day 9: Balance of Light and Shadow - Kom Ombo
Today we explore Kom Ombo, a temple built for duality—light and dark, sun and moon, strength and softness. This is a living mirror for our own integration. Ceremony here invites you to bless every part of yourself—your strength, your tenderness, your shadow and your light.
After returning to the Dahabeya for lunch, the afternoon brings a meditative practice on embodiment. Through gentle movement and reflection, we anchor all that has been received so far. Evening brings shared wisdom and heart conversation beneath the soft hum of the river.
Sunday, August 8th - Day 10: The Temple of the Horizon – Return to the Source
At dawn, we are granted a private visit to Philae, the island temple rising from the Nile like a lotus. As the sun lifts, we close our eyes and breathe in its golden radiance. This final temple visit serves as a prayer of gratitude—a sealing of all the initiations received along the journey.
After lunch on board, we prepare for our flight back to Cairo, carrying the peace of the river within us. The day is quiet, reflective, and full of grace.
Monday Aug 9th - Day 11: Private Visit and Ceremony Inside the Great Pyramid of Giza
After breakfast, we ground back into the rhythm of Cairo. The afternoon invites gentle rest and teaching before our evening initiation—a private nighttime entry into the Great Pyramid. Inside the stillness of the stone chambers, we gather in sacred silence.
Here, we breathe as one body, one heart, one light. The pyramid amplifies intention, drawing our awareness to the eternal flame within. As we emerge into the night, the stars above mirror the fire now burning inside each of us.
Tuesday, Aug 10 - Day 12: The Heart of Connection – Integration and Celebration
We begin with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to the Khan el Khalili Bazaar—a joyful immersion into color, scent, and sound. This is a day for celebration, laughter, and shared memory.
After lunch, we hold our final teaching and circle—anchoring the transformations of the journey. We speak from the heart, offering gratitude to the Earth, the Nile, and one another. Evening invites quiet rest or one final shared meal beneath Cairo’s glowing sky.
Wednesday, Aug 11 - Day 13: The Return Home.
Your final morning in Cairo is soft and unhurried. Over breakfast, the group gathers for farewells, hugs, and tears of gratitude. As you depart for the airport, remember: the river still flows through you, the breath of life still moves within you.
“The post-retreat period is a good time to integrate or digest the benefits, learning, or inspirations that came from the retreat. Living calmly and simply in the days after the retreat may let these stay current in one’s mind so they can continue to ripen. Rushing back to a fully packed life may cut short this ripening. Taking time for reflection, journaling, or talking with a trusted friend about the retreat may also deepen the lessons of the retreat. Meditating two or three times a day in the days after a retreat can be very supportive for this integration process. Extra meditation can also help bring emotional and mental balance if one is feeling particularly sensitive after the retreat.”

FAQS
Is Egypt safe for Americans to travel to?
We get this question a lot! In short, Americans and other visitors can rest easy: yes, Egypt is a safe country for tourists. And the rest of the world seems to agree — after years of middling numbers, tourism in Egypt is steadily rising towards its former highs, hosting over 10 million sightseers in 2019.
To begin with, it’s important to understand just how crucial a role tourism plays in the economy of modern Egypt.
Tourists flock by the millions to see the timeless wonders of the Land of the Pharaohs, bringing with them an influx of money for local merchants and institutions. At times responsible for more than 10% of the nation’s GDP, tourism is of monumental importance to the financial stability of the Egypt and its citizens.
This fact is not lost on the Egyptian public. Already widely known for their open and gracious hospitality, Egyptians are keenly aware of the profound role that tourism plays in their continued prosperity. As a traveler, you’re often asked where you’re from when chatting with residents—nowhere more than Egypt are the locals excited to hear that you’re visiting their country from afar. You may have heard stories of some places where foreigners and tourists are treated indifferently or are left feeling unwelcome—most Egyptians would find this backwards and outright embarrassing. You can expect to make quick acquaintances and lots of friendly small talk.
The Egyptian government also dedicates a tremendous amount of resources to ensuring that visitors can enjoy their stay with absolute peace of mind. When traveling along major road routes, or between common destinations near and far, expect to see regular checkpoints keeping traffic in order—and people safe. Security checkpoints are also stationed at nearly every major attraction you’ll visit, whether it’s the venerable Hanging Church or the stately Egyptian Museum. When you’re roaming the tombs in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor or gazing at the Great Pyramid of Giza, you’ll do so without any worry—popular tourist sites are all tightly monitored, and security forces are a quietly steadfast presence at each.
Why do I hear that Egypt is unsafe?
Like many other countries, much of Egypt’s cautionary elements are due to isolated places that visitors should simply avoid traveling to. The Sinai Peninsula, for instance, is an area to which travel is highly advised against by the U.S. and U.K. governments. The Peninsula is approximately 8 hours drive via car from Cairo. Serious crime is widespread in the region, emergency services are non-existent or have trouble accessing the remote locations, and Egyptian police and military forces are dealing with frequent clashes with extant terrorism cells operating there. The Western Desert is likewise an area to which travel is not advised for similar reasons of instability and danger. The borders with Sudan and Libya, aside from being quite well off the beaten path, are to be avoided due to heavy military activity and the state of the bordering nations.
What currency is used in Egypt, and how much money should I bring?
The Egyptian currency is the Egyptian Pound. It is a paper currency, much like the US Dollar. The current exchange rate is hovering 15:1, meaning 15 Egyptian pounds to 1 US Dollar. Most tourists will find that 300-400 US dollars will get them far. If you are a big shopper, then bring more! Credit cards are also widely accepted at larger shops and restaurants.
What types of clothes should I pack?
Dress is casual. Layering is key and also, being in a Muslim Country, you will want to dress conservatively (no shorts or cleavage showing when we are touring the temples or shopping in the markets). Pack a bathing suit for the hotel pool. December in Egypt is their winter time. This means that temperatures will be in the 50s-70s during the day and mostly 40s to 50s at night. There are rare occasions where it snows in Egypt, but you will find that most of the time the weather is similar to Southern California winters: mild.
What is the refund policy if I need to cancel my attendance?
We always recommend TRIP INSURANCE in case you have a cancellation or some kind of force majeur happens. This way, you can get the cost of your personal airfare and trip price refunded. If you do not use trip insurance, our personal refund policy is as follows: If for some reason you must cancel your trip, a cancellation fee of $1,000.00 U.S. is non-refundable. If you cancel 90 days or more prior to the start of the retreat, you receive: 50% credit minus the cancellation fee. If you cancel 31-90 days prior to the start of the retreat, you receive: 25% credit minus the cancellation fee. If you cancel 0-30 days prior to the start of the retreat, no refunds or credits will be given.
