Thursday, Dec 2nd - Day 1: Arrivals

Get ready to blast off into a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience! Many of you will arrive at the Cairo International Airport at different times of the day. You will be escorted from the airport to the luxurious Mena House Oberoi Hotel for check-in. During the evening, we will enjoy a group welcome Dinner to begin to initiate your entire self into the mystical Egyptian energies. Friday Dec 3rd - Day 2: Sunrise Ceremony between the Paws of the Sphinx

Begin your day before the sun even rises with an exclusive, private ceremony between the Paws of the Sphinx! You will then be led on a potent exercise where you will connect to the power of the Giza Plateau and begin to channel this wisdom through your light system. This process will prime your mind/body/spirit for the many upcoming initiations. After our morning ceremony, we will enjoy a sunrise Camel ride through the towering Pyramids then back to the Mena House for breakfast. The afternoon will consist of visits to the potent Sakkara step pyramid and the mysterious Serapeum — a burial place of Apis bulls, sacred bulls that were incarnations of the ancient Egyptian deity Ptah. The Step Pyramid is the oldest and thought to be the first pyramid built in Egypt. It was built in the 27th century BC and predates the more famous known Pyramids at Giza Plateau.

Saturday Dec 4th - Day 3: The Grand Egyptian Museum & Begin your Nile Journey

GEM.jpg

Begin your day with the fabulous breakfast at the Mena House. From there, we will spend an afternoon at the newly built museum complex in Cairo, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Described as the largest archaeological museum in the world, the GEM features over 50,000 artifacts including the full tomb collection of King Tutankhamun. Our evening will take us on an inter-country flight to Luxor where we will board our Dahabeya, a luxury floating hotel which will be our home on the Nile for the next seven nights!

Sunday Dec 5th - Day 4: Embracing the Warrior Goddess Sekhmet

Our morning starts with a gourmet, chef created breakfast onboard our luxurious Dahabeya. We will then begin a day of exploration along the East Bank of Luxor. The City of Luxor is the greatest archaeological city in the world. It is considered one of the biggest open air Museums in the world as it combines the largest number of monuments. We will visit the

Luxor Temple- Constructed in 1400 BCE, it is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship; it may have been where many of the pharaohs of Egypt were crowned. Luxor Temple is located on the East Bank of Luxor, and is built on the site of the ancient Egyptian Capital of Thebes. You will be amazed by the magnificence and grandeur this temple holds.

Temple of Mut- The goddess Mut is the wife and consort of the god Amun-Ra. She was also known as the Mother Goddess, Queen of the Goddesses, and Lady of Heaven (Fazzini, 1983, p. 16). Mut was the Egyptian sky goddess and her symbols were the vulture, lioness and the crown of Uraeus

Karnak Temple- which is home to the Warrior Goddess and Goddess of Healing, Sekhmet.  You will meet what is considered to be the living statue of Goddess Sekhmet, which has stood in its original spot for over 3000 years. You will immerse within Sekhmets loving, protective energy and will come away with a personal connection. Approximately thirty pharaohs contributed to the buildings, enabling it to reach a size, complexity, and diversity not seen elsewhere.

During the evening hours, we will be escorted to the sprawling Luxor Market, an exquisite place to shop and play!

Monday Dec 6th - Day 5: Abydos and Denderah Temple

valle.jpg

Today we journey to Abydos to visit Seti I Temple. His temple in Abydos is among the most famous, cited by many as the most impressive religious structure still standing in Egypt. Abydos is home to the mystical Osirion where the original Flower of Life appeared. Seti’s place in history was overshadowed by that of his son, Ramesses II , arguably one of the greatest pharaohs in Egyptian history. Yet, Seti was an important character in his own right, as he was one of the pharaohs who had to bring order back to Egypt and re-establish Egyptian sovereignty. Seti was also responsible for commissioning the construction of a grand temple in Abydos. We will visit the ancient monastery where the tomb of Om Seti is buried. We then visit the Denderah Temple Complex -  dedicated to Goddess Hathor -the goddess of love, joy, beauty, dancing and music. In ancient times, Dendara was associated with healing and includes various structures, including the Temple of the Birth of Isis, a Roman mammisi, a sanatorium, and a sacred lake. It was made famous by a carving that many believe depicts an electrical lightbulb. Nevertheless, the most impressive part of the temple complex is undoubtedly the Temple of Hathor.

Tuesday Dec 7th - Day 6: Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut

At dawn we start our visit to visit Hatshepsut Temple — one of the greatest Egyptian architectural achievements. Located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite the city of Luxor (ancient Thebes), Hatshepsut’s funerary temple is part of the Theban Necropolis. Queen Hatshepsut is the fourth of seven female pharaohs in the history of Egypt and has the longest reign of 20 years. Built in a half circle of cliffs, this memorial temple marks the entrance to the Valley of the Kings. The Valley of The Kings is considered as the royal cemetery with 64 tombs, and is located on the west bank at Luxor. The only entrance to this place was a long narrow winding path. This was a secret place, where sentries were placed at the entrance of the Valley, as well as along the top of the hills, in the hopes of discouraging tomb robbers, who had in the past plundered all royal tombs, including the treasures of the Pyramids. In the evening we begin sailing to Esna via Esna Locks.

Wednesday Dec 8th - Day 7: Horus Temple of Edfu

Horus is one of the earliest known Egyptian Gods. Horus is worshipped as a Sun God and is the son of Isis and Osirus. His right eye represents the sun and his left eye represents the moon. The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, healing and spiritual powers. Our visit to the Horus Temple or Edfu Temple consists of traditional elements of Egyptian Temples of the New Kingdom, together with a few Greek elements, such as the Mamisi, which is situated to the west of the main entrance of the Temple (Mamisi means "house of the divine birth"). It consists of an entrance, a court and chapel. The walls of the mamisi are decorated with scenes showing the story of the divine birth of Horus the child, in the presence of the Goddess Hathor, the God Khenoum and other deities who were concerned with pregnancy and birthday. During the afternoon, enjoy the spectacular views and relax on the sundeck to soak up the golden rays shining on the Nile as we sail to Kom Ombo.

Thursday Dec 9 - Day 8: Temple of Kom Ombo

kom.jpg

Kom Ombo is the only temple in Egypt that is dedicated to two Gods, Sobek and Horus, representing the shadow and the light. It is the temple of balance which we all hold within ourselves. This temple holds ancient powerful energy that will help you shift and release what no longer serves you. Kom Ombo was the healing place of pilgrimage for ancient Egyptians. The temple has two entrances, two courts, two halls and two sanctuaries, one side for each god.

This temple is well known for its perfect symmetry and nestles on a jutting headland overlooking the Nile. Commissioned by Ptolemy VI in the 1st century BCE, the structure was later expanded by other rulers, then largely fell into decay before French archaeologists restored it in the late 19th century. Inspect the detailed friezes and hieroglyphs on the walls of the temple, and visit the hundreds of preserved crocodile mummies displayed at the onsite museum.

Friday Dec 10 - Day 9: Aswan and the Goddess Initiation at Philae

philae.jpg

This will be an early morning for us! As we will want to arrive at Philae before the sun rises. After a nourishing breakfast on our Dahabeya, we will travel to the Island of Philae to visit the Isis Temple. There we will have private time to connect with the Goddess Energy and conduct private ceremony at her altar. I can tell you from personal experience, this place is INSANELY POWERFUL! It is one of the most beautiful, peaceful energies you will feel and depending on your intentions, it can change you in miraculous ways.

“Bask in her glory, for she will empower you to take steps you have never even considered. Remember that she is within you, glowing in your eyes, radiating from your heart. If you connect to her divinity, you will notice heat and drive building in your system, she is here to make waves in your ocean”

Saturday Dec 11 - Day 10: Final Day in Aswan, Back to Cairo

1122.jpg

After a final relaxing day on the Nile, integrating all of the amazing energies we’ve connected with thus far, we will take an inter-country flight back to Cairo and settle again into the beautiful Mena House, our home away from home. Here we will re-immerse into the frequencies of the Giza Plateau and prepare for our final initiation into the Great Pyramids, which happens the following day.

Sunday December 12th - Day 11: Khan El Khalili Bazaar, Private Visit the Great Pyramid of Giza

After breakfast, we will begin our day in the Khan el-Khalili — a famous bazaar and souq in the historic center of Cairo, Egypt. The bazaar district is one of Cairo's main attractions for tourists and Egyptians alike. It is also home to many Egyptian artisans and workshops involved in the production of traditional crafts and souvenirs. As you’re charmed by the beauty of the Bazaar, we can enjoy Egyptian Coffees and Teas, shop, and wander the market.

Our afternoon will then lead us into a traditional oil shop visit with the incredible Gamal! This man is a sixth generation alchemist and healer. He has studied with some of the greatest mystics, gurus and channels throughout the world and can literally read your aura the second he see’s you. When I first met him, I saw brilliant blue eyes “hovering” in front of his dark, middle-eastern eyes. I asked him if he knew who he was channeling…the being that had the blue eyes. He became very shy and said “yes, it is the goddess Isis, and she has been with me my entire life.

After sunset, once the Giza Plateau has closed to the public, we join our private escort onto the plateau where they will take us to the entrance of the Great Pyramid. This is the moment we’ve been waiting for! The Kings Chamber of the Great Pyramid is an ancient sound chamber. It is a powerful place to upgrade, activate and ascend our current reality. We will have private time in this chamber to conduct ceremony and teachings. Hold on to your hats!! This is one helluva GRAND FINALE!!!

Monday December 13 - Day 12: Departures

gods.jpg

We will gather as a group one last time to fully ground and integrate all of the beautiful experiences we have been blessed with. We will also set intentions to keep the energy moving and return to our daily lives while implementing these new energetics. You will then be escorted via private vehicle back to the Cairo Airport for your departing flight.

“The post-retreat period is a good time to integrate or digest the benefits, learning, or inspirations that came from the retreat. Living calmly and simply in the days after the retreat may let these stay current in one’s mind so they can continue to ripen. Rushing back to a fully packed life may cut short this ripening. Taking time for reflection, journaling, or talking with a trusted friend about the retreat may also deepen the lessons of the retreat. Meditating two or three times a day in the days after a retreat can be very supportive for this integration process. Extra meditation can also help bring emotional and mental balance if one is feeling particularly sensitive after the retreat.”

FAQS

  1. Is Egypt safe for Americans to travel to?

We get this question a lot! In short, Americans and other visitors can rest easy: yes, Egypt is a safe country for tourists. And the rest of the world seems to agree — after years of middling numbers, tourism in Egypt is steadily rising towards its former highs, hosting over 10 million sightseers in 2019.

To begin with, it’s important to understand just how crucial a role tourism plays in the economy of modern Egypt.

Tourists flock by the millions to see the timeless wonders of the Land of the Pharaohs, bringing with them an influx of money for local merchants and institutions. At times responsible for more than 10% of the nation’s GDP, tourism is of monumental importance to the financial stability of the Egypt and its citizens.

This fact is not lost on the Egyptian public. Already widely known for their open and gracious hospitality, Egyptians are keenly aware of the profound role that tourism plays in their continued prosperity. As a traveler, you’re often asked where you’re from when chatting with residents—nowhere more than Egypt are the locals excited to hear that you’re visiting their country from afar. You may have heard stories of some places where foreigners and tourists are treated indifferently or are left feeling unwelcome—most Egyptians would find this backwards and outright embarrassing. You can expect to make quick acquaintances and lots of friendly small talk.

The Egyptian government also dedicates a tremendous amount of resources to ensuring that visitors can enjoy their stay with absolute peace of mind. When traveling along major road routes, or between common destinations near and far, expect to see regular checkpoints keeping traffic in order—and people safe. Security checkpoints are also stationed at nearly every major attraction you’ll visit, whether it’s the venerable Hanging Church or the stately Egyptian Museum. When you’re roaming the tombs in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor or gazing at the Great Pyramid of Giza, you’ll do so without any worry—popular tourist sites are all tightly monitored, and security forces are a quietly steadfast presence at each.

  2. Why do I hear that Egypt is unsafe?

Like many other countries, much of Egypt’s cautionary elements are due to isolated places that visitors should simply avoid traveling to. The Sinai Peninsula, for instance, is an area to which travel is highly advised against by the U.S. and U.K. governments. The Peninsula is approximately 8 hours drive via car from Cairo. Serious crime is widespread in the region, emergency services are non-existent or have trouble accessing the remote locations, and Egyptian police and military forces are dealing with frequent clashes with extant terrorism cells operating there. The Western Desert is likewise an area to which travel is not advised for similar reasons of instability and danger. The borders with Sudan and Libya, aside from being quite well off the beaten path, are to be avoided due to heavy military activity and the state of the bordering nations.

  3. What currency is used in Egypt, and how much money should I bring?

The Egyptian currency is the Egyptian Pound. It is a paper currency, much like the US Dollar. The current exchange rate is hovering 15:1, meaning 15 Egyptian pounds to 1 US Dollar. Most tourists will find that 300-400 US dollars will get them far. If you are a big shopper, then bring more! Credit cards are also widely accepted at larger shops and restaurants.

  4. What types of clothes should I pack?

Dress is casual. Layering is key and also, being in a Muslim Country, you will want to dress conservatively (no shorts or cleavage showing when we are touring the temples or shopping in the markets). Pack a bathing suit for the hotel pool. December in Egypt is their winter time. This means that temperatures will be in the 50s-70s during the day and mostly 40s to 50s at night. There are rare occasions where it snows in Egypt, but you will find that most of the time the weather is similar to Southern California winters: mild.

  5. What is the refund policy if I need to cancel my attendance?

We always recommend TRIP INSURANCE in case you have a cancellation or some kind of force majeur happens. This way, you can get the cost of your personal airfare and trip price refunded. If you do not use trip insurance, our personal refund policy is as follows: If for some reason you must cancel your trip, a cancellation fee of $1,000.00 U.S. is non-refundable. If you cancel 90 days or more prior to the start of the retreat, you receive: 50% credit minus the cancellation fee. If you cancel 31-90 days prior to the start of the retreat, you receive: 25% credit minus the cancellation fee. If you cancel 0-30 days prior to the start of the retreat, no refunds or credits will be given.
